     Mary Chamberlain was born on 5 December 1686 at Malden, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA.¹ Mary Chamberlain was the daughter of John Chamberlain and Hannah (?).¹ Mary Chamberlain married Daniel Whittemore, son of Daniel Whittemore and Lydia Bassett, on 22 January 1719 at Rumney Marsh, Massachusetts, USA.¹ Mary Chamberlain died on 26 April 1772 at Malden, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA, at age 85.¹

     Hannah Chawkley was born circa 1612 at England.^1,2 Hannah Chawkley married Thomas Whittemore, son of Thomas Whittemore and Mary Meade, on 26 October 1632 at Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England.² Hannah Chawkley married Benjamin Butterfield on 3 June 1663 at Malden, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA.^1,3,2 Hannah Chawkley died on 19 May 1677 at Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA.²
          She was the second or third wife of Thomas Whittemore and was 50 years old in 1662. Her second marriage was to Benjammin Buttterfield, at Chelmsford, MA, on 3 Jun 1663. (Wyman's Genealogies and Estates of Charlestown, p. 1021 and 161.).¹

     Her married name was Butterfield.

     Alice Childwall was born at Of Ditton, Lancashire, England. Alice Childwall married Thomas Rathbone, son of Thomas Rathbone and Grace Coppowe, on 13 April 1616 at Ditton, Lancashire, England. Alice Childwall died at Probably Ditton, Lancashire, England.
          Her married name was Rathbone.

     Sammie M. Chitty was born. Sammie M. Chitty married Minnie Ola Moore, daughter of Thomas F. Moore and Sarah Frances Stevens, on 4 August 1924 at Red River, Louisiana, USA. Sammie M. Chitty died.

     Ichabod Clark married Sarah Whittemore, daughter of Daniel Whittemore and Lydia Bassett, on 30 March 1741.¹

     James Clark married Elizabeth Whittemore, daughter of Samuel Whittemore and Hannah Rice, after 1710.¹ James Clark died after 1727.¹

     Mary Clark was born on 15 January 1725/26; She was born 15th January, 1725/6. She married Uriah Lawence 13th April, 1743.

She was probably the daughter, Mary, of Benjamin Clark, of Preston, Ct., born 5th December, 1725; in which case the date given in the family Bible may be a baptismal date, or an error. A son, (Perry) of Benjamin Clark, born 20th June, 1723, had a son, Ezra, who was born in Plainfield, Ct., in 1748, lived at Lisbon, Ct., and went to North East, N.Y., about the time of the Revolution. His farm was about four miles south of that of Uriah and Mary Clark Lawrence.^1,2 Mary Clark married Uriah Lawrence, son of William Lawrence and Sarah Whittemore, on 13 April 1743 at probably Connecticut, USA.^1,2 Mary Clark died on 23 October 1804 at North East, Dutchess, New York, USA, at age 78.^1,2
          According to Torrey (1966 or 1967) it was actually Mary Gates who married William Babcock on 9 Nov 1748 (Bailey's Connecticut Marriages identifies her as Mary Clark). Mary Gates was the daughter of Robert Gates and Mary Clark, b. on 28 Dec 1705 in Norwich, CT. The confusion probably results from the mother's maiden name.

     She was probably the daughter of Benjamin Clark of Preston, CT, b. 5 Dec 1725; in which case the date given in the family Bible may be a baptismal date, or an error. A son of Benjamin Clark, Perry Clark, was born 20 Jun 1723 and had a son, Ezra Clark, who was born in Plainfield, CT, in 1748, lived at Lisbon, CT, and went to North East, Dutchess County, NY, about the time of the Revolution. His farm was about four miles south of that of Uriah and Mary Clark Lawrence. He had 10 children, two of whom were named 'Olive' and 'Lydia;' names occurring amoung Uriah Lawrence's children are not otherwise accounted for.      It must be said, however, that a Mary Clark married in Preston, CT, William Babcock of Coventry, CT, on 9 Nov 1748. This may have been the daughter of Benjamin.¹
