     He emigrated to New England in 1641/42 (New England Genealogical Register 30:170).
     He resided in Charlestown, MA, on the Malden side, near Chelsea, where he died. He mentions in his will his wife Hannah and (inter alia) his son Samuel. (Paige's History of Cambridge, p. 687.)
     Sara Deardes was buried on 7 Nov 1628. His will was made on 8 Feb 1660 and probated on 25 Jun 1661. The inventory showed a house and 70 acres of land £220. Total £286. (Wyman's Genealogies and Estates of Charlestown, p. 1021.)
     He married Sarah Deardes on 14 Apr 1623. His farm, bounded east by Chelsea and south by the Mystic River was owned by the family until 1845. It is now in the town of Everett. (Whittemore Genealogy, 1893.).1

     He was illiterate.2

     Lionel Udall was a Doctor.
     He was a practicing physician residing at Stonington, CT, in the first half of the eighteenth century. Dr. Udall was a man of considerable prominence and appears to have had a large practice in eastern Connecticut and throughout Rhode Island, extending from New London to Newport. He is said to have been born in England about 1690, to have come early to this country and to have married in Stonington, where all his children were born and where he died in 1767. The list of his children are from an account book kept by him. The accounts in the book range from 1750 to 1767.
     In the records of the First Congregational Church at Stonington is the following:
     "Nov. 17, 1734. Mr. Lionel Udall and his wife Abigail owned the covenantand subjected themselves to ye discipline of the church and the same day their children, Anne, Abigail, and Lionel were baptized."
     The later baptisms of Samuel, William the second, Mary and John are recorded. The entire family moved about 1772 to Vermont, where many of the name have occupied prominent positions. (John D. Champlin in New England Genealogical Register 40:330.).1

He was born in 1690 at of Exeter, Devonshire, England. He married Abigail Bill, daughter of Samuel Bill and Mercy Haughton, on 30 October 1727 at Stonington, New London, Connecticut, USA. Lionel Udall died in 1767 at Stonington, New London, Connecticut, USA.

The inventory showed four oxen, nine cows, six yearlings, eight calves, 180 sheep, 30 lambs, seven swine, one horse, one mare, one silver tankard, two silver cups, three negroes values at £180 and negro wenches valued at £200. Total property £838. He had 90 acres of land and also an interest in the town of Poughkeepsie, NY. (Rathbone Genealogy by John C. Cooley, p. 13.).1
