Smith County court records for 1820-1822 indicate that Augustin Robinson was appointed guardian for Thomas, John and Agnes Simpson, the children of James Simpson and Sally Robinson, Augustin's sister (2, 3). In 1830, Augustin Robinson was listed in the census fo Smith County, Tennessee (1). Augustin and Rachel Robinson were living in Itawamba County, Mississippi in 1838 (1). They were shown in the census listings of 1840 and 1850 in Itawamba County. Augustin and Rachel Robinson moved to Jackson Parish, Louisiana in 1861 with their son, James Simpson Robinson (9). Rachel died on 15 Sep 1865 and Augustin died on 30 Dec 1876 near Gansville in lower Jackson Parish (9). Augustin and Rachel were buried at Siloam Springs in Jackson Parish.
